This is the Last Will and
Testament of me Thomas George Collett of Mangaroa in
the provincial district of Wellington, farmer
I give and bequeath unto my
daughter Ellen Mary Dick, wife of Robert Dick of Mangaroa
aforesaid farmer, one fifth of the total amount of monies payable on my death
by the Government Life Insurance Department for her own use absolutely and the
remaining four fifths thereof I give and bequeath to my sons Henry Edward
Collett, Albert George Collett, Charles William Collett, and William Herbert
Collett in equal shares
And if any of my said sons shall
die unmarried then the share of such unmarried son shall go to and be equally
divided among my surviving sons
All the rest residue and
remainder of my estate both real and personal I devise and bequeath unto my son
William Herbert Collett but such real estate consisting of One Hundred and Fifteen
acres two rods being section numbered 293 (two hundred and ninety three) and
part section 294 (two hundred and ninety four) on the plan of the Hutt District
shall stand charged with the payment to each of my sons Henry Edward Collett,
Albert George Collett, and Charles William Collett within six years from the
date of my decease of a sum of one hundred pounds with interest thereon at the
rate of four pounds per centum per annum payable half yearly the first of such
payments to become due six months from the date of my decease, provided always
that the said sums of One hundred pounds so payable to each of my sons may be
paid by instalments at any time within the said
period of six years and on any instalments so paid interest shall cease
I appoint Thomas Edwards of Mangaroa aforesaid farmer Executor of this my Will
I hereby revoke all Wills and
Testamentary dispositions at anytime heretofore made by me and declare this
only to be my Last Will and Testament
In witness whereof I have hereto subscribed my name this Eighteenth day of June in the year One Thousand Nine Hundred and Three
Signed by the above named Thomas George Collett the Testator as and for his Last Will and Testament in the presence of us both present at the same time who at his request in his sight and presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as attesting witnesses
